Cummins India Limited, a leading power solutions technology provider, has launched DATUM, an intelligent Fuel Management System, in collaboration with Repos Energy at CII EXCON 2023 at BIEC. As a part of the collaboration, Cummins will market and distribute the DATUM range of products through its vast distribution network in India.
DATUM is a solution that helps customers manage their fuel operations effectively by enhancing visibility into the downstream diesel value chain. The solution uses sensors and digital technologies to provide real-time updates on fuel inventory and consumption across multiple installations. It also enables remote monitoring of fuel levels, sends alerts when fuel levels are low, and facilitates 24×7 doorstep delivery of diesel.
The entire process from fuel ordering to payment and invoicing is digital, benefiting customers from reduced fuel procurement costs, improved inventory management, higher asset utilization, and assurance of fuel quality and quantity. This has resulted in a direct reduction of up to 10% in fuel costs and a significant improvement in operational uptime.
