Congress leader Rahul Gandhi objected against the ruling party BJP by comparing the rates of essential commodities in 2013 during the UPA government versus 2023. He took to his twitter account and shared a chart comparing those essential commodities. Rahul Gandhi claimed that the reason behind immediate inflation is not giving the required attention it deserves rather than the centre is focusing on increasing industrialist Gautam Adani’s income and helping him to get away from probe.
“How will inflation come down? How will the pain of the public be visible? The entire focus of the government is on increasing Adani’s income and protecting him from investigation,” Gandhi tweeted, attacking the Centre over inflation.
As per the chart, the rates of daily usable commodities, like ghee, arhar dal, rice, wheat flour, sunflower oil, and gas cylinders, have increased by over 100 per cent in the past ten years.
