Coca-Cola India and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have successfully empowered over 14,000 retailers across Odisha through their collaborative Super Power Retailer Program. Launched under the auspices of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, the initiative, inaugurated by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan last October, aims to revolutionize the state’s retail landscape.
Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, highlighted the program’s pivotal role in bolstering retail proficiency amidst technological advancements. He expressed confidence in the partnership with Coca-Cola India, emphasizing its potential to equip retailers with essential skills, thereby fostering economic growth.Irene Tan, Vice President of Human Resources at Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, underscored the program’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for retailers. She noted its role in driving societal impact through innovative skill development initiatives, including industry-specific training in customer management and financial proficiency.
The program’s success resonates in markets like Guwahati, where similar initiatives have bolstered local businesses. Through localized training and digital accessibility via the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), participants have enhanced their operational efficiency, adapting seamlessly to market dynamics.This comprehensive approach not only strengthens business acumen but also champions gender diversity, with significant female participation contributing to employment empowerment across the region.
