Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha launched a scathing attack on the CPIM and Congress during a public event in North Tripura district, accusing both parties of losing public trust and falling behind the NOTA (None of the Above) option in elections. “In today’s political scenario, CPIM and Congress are no longer relevant. They’re now competing with NOTA and slowly fading out,” Saha remarked while inaugurating 45 new development projects in the region. He accused the opposition of engaging in “negative politics” and ignoring people’s real issues.
Highlighting development under the BJP-led government, Saha cited infrastructure gains, such as the construction of six new national highways and a significant boost in health, education, and digital governance. He noted that Tripura has received seven Panchayati Raj awards and is the only state with a fully functional E-office system from the Assembly down to the Panchayat level.
Saha also reported that 85.12% of households have been covered under the Jal Jeevan Mission and promised 100% coverage by next year. He added that the state’s own tax revenue has grown by 236% since 2018, reflecting rising financial stability and development progress under BJP rule.
