Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has reiterated his government’s commitment to enhancing the state’s education system, focusing on infrastructure improvement and quality enhancement to benefit thousands of students. Speaking at the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School in Udaipur, CM Saha highlighted the strides taken to modernize education in Tripura. “The government has prioritized the overall development of education infrastructure,” said Saha, who also serves as the state’s Education Minister. He underscored ongoing policy reviews and efforts to address teacher shortages as key initiatives.
The Chief Minister lauded the historic institution’s contributions since its founding in 1951 by Ramesh Chandra Dutta, noting its alumni include distinguished figures such as former chief ministers and MLAs. “This school’s legacy extends beyond the state, with its alumni achieving success both nationally and internationally,” he added.
Aligned with the National Education Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saha detailed plans to build new school facilities, integrate smart classrooms, and modernize infrastructure across the state. He also emphasized progress in higher education, highlighting the establishment of multiple universities, including a central university, as a testament to Tripura’s evolving academic landscape.
