CM Lalduhoma opens Digital Conclave in Aizawl

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the 17th Digital Transformation Conclave at Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl today, stressing the importance of making digital services affordable and accessible to all citizens. The event, organised by the Department of ICT, Government of Mizoram, in partnership with GovConnect, Google Cloud, and Ilouge Media, was also graced by Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister for ICT, as the guest of honour. In his inaugural speech, the Chief Minister underscored the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of digital governance, highlighting Mizoram’s strides in digital innovation. He listed key initiatives currently running in the state, including the Mizoram State Public Grievances Redressal & Monitoring System, Kai Apps, RAMP for MSME facilitation, the SDG Dashboard for village-level tracking, MPLAN Project Monitoring Dashboard, e-RAM for online tax services, the online Inner Line Permit system, and online OPD registration at Aizawl Civil Hospital.

He also hinted at upcoming projects such as government e-offices and other digital solutions aimed at enhancing public service delivery. Addressing concerns over a recent hacking incident involving a government website, the Chief Minister reassured the public that the issue was swiftly resolved and urged government officials to prioritize cybersecurity.

Dr. Vanlalthlana spoke on the rising role of Artificial Intelligence in business and personal safety. He stressed the need for inclusive internet access, secure cloud storage, and robust digital infrastructure as vital for national growth. He emphasized that digital progress is key to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and advancing Mizoram’s development.
