Chief Minister level talk for border dispute

On Wednesday, both Assam-Meghalaya to hold border talks and this is to be the second border meeting between the states.

As per reports, both the states have been facing border disputes since last year and the issues are not yet solved. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will look into the differences of the state’s area and resolve border disputes.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced about the meeting on Tuesday. Earlier on first border talks six disputed areas out of twelve were taken up for discussion and MoU was signed up between the two states.
