Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has called for a collective effort to ensure the success of the upcoming ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. In a review meeting held via video conference on Friday, Dr. Saha engaged with MLAs, Ministers, and Chairpersons of PSUs, emphasizing the significance of the event. Joined by Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Department, the Chief Minister highlighted the campaign’s objective to honor the sacrifices made by those who defended the nation.
“We have received directives from the Central government regarding the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program, which will take place from August 11 to 14,” Dr. Saha stated. He added that a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ led by Ministers and MLAs has already begun across the state. The Chief Minister outlined the participation of various groups, including Tripura Police, NSS, students, NCC, cultural organizations, and disaster management teams.
He further announced that from August 12 to 14, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan will be observed, urging active involvement from citizens. On August 14, the state will commemorate ‘Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas’ at the grassroots level, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag on August 15.
