On Friday Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the government over the situation of the Indian economy.
He questioned the government for going back on the fiscal deficit target for the current year.
“Within months of setting the FD target of 6.4 per cent for 2022-23, the government is backtracking. Now, the government says it will ‘try to keep FD at 6.7 per cent’, the same level as in 2021-22, the former finance minister said on Twitter.
The Congress party and its leaders questioned the government’s economic policies and accused the BJP government of “mismanaging” the country’s economy.
