Oil companies have hiked the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 101.50 from November 1. Now, as per the new rates, a commercial cylinder of LPG will now be available at Rs 1833 in the capital Delhi. Now a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,785.50 in Mumbai, the cheapest among the four metros. The price in Chennai will be dearest, Rs 1,999.50. It will retail for Rs 1,833 in Delhi and Rs 1,943 in Kolkata. The new price of LPG cylinders will be applicable only on 19 kg commercial cylinders. There will be no change in domestic LPG cylinder prices and will remain fixed. A domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 903 in Delhi, and a 14 kg cylinder costs Rs 929 in Kolkata. The domestic LPG cylinder price in Mumbai is Rs 902.5 and in Chennai, the domestic gas cylinder is selling at Rs 918.5. When the oil companies increased the price of commercial LPG gas cylinders on October 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder was increased by 209 rupees. The retail price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi was Rs 1731.50 after the new rates came into force in October, which has now risen to Rs 1833 after the rate hike in November. However, there was no change in domestic cylinder prices even last month.
