Canada has unveiled a new startup visa pathway designed specifically to attract tech entrepreneurs from South Asia, including Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
Under the revised framework, qualifying applicants can receive fast-track entry within 8 weeks and gain access to funding, workspaces, and mentorship through Canada’s Innovation Superclusters.
Officials say this will strengthen Canada’s innovation sector while offering global exposure to emerging South Asian founders. Several tech firms from Dhaka and Kathmandu have already begun the application process.
