Byatikram to celebrate Bhupen Hazarika’s 98th birth anniversary in Tripura Byatikram MASDO, one of the premiere socio-cultural organization in collaboration with the Information and Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Tripura and News Bengal 365 is all set to celebrate the 98th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Agartala, Tripura. The event will start at 5 pm on September 7 at the Town Hall of Agartala. To announce the same, a press meet was organized on August 31 at Gauhati Press Club, Ambari in presence of Singer Samar Hazarika, Dawor Hazarika, Jayati Bhattacharjee, Pranita Talukdar, Tanisha Dutta, Sanskrita Malakar and Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of the organization.

Distinguished guests attending include Tripura Governor Shri Indrasena Beddy Nallu, Chief Minister Manik Saha, Chief Whip of Tripura Government Kalyani Saha Roy, Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Paul and Renowned Writer Dr Rita Chowdhury are among the distinguished guests at the function. Byatikram MASDO has been organizing cultural programs in India and abroad for over a decade to commemorate Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s birth anniversary, promoting his legacy nationally and internationally. This year, the 98th birth anniversary celebration will be attended by a total of 30 delegates including Bhupen Hazarika’s brother Samar Hazarika, Sister-in-law Shobha Hazarika, Nephew Dawor Hazarika, Dr. Mausumi Saharia, Singer Sanskrita Malakar, Dancer Tanisha Dutta, Singer Jayati Bhattacharya, Singer Pranita Talukdar, Kuwoli Hazarika and Namrata Nath, Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Kaveri Sharma Boruah, Pinky Das, Deepika Malakar, Raju Ali, Indrakshi Dutta, Tarun Chakraborty, Aritra Chakraborty, Joydeep Sanyal, Aminul Haque Bhuyan, and others. In the event, the prestigious ‘Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika Byatikram International Award 2024’ will be conferred upon Tithi Debbarman, a celebrated musician from Tripura.

We aim to sustain his legacy through our events.
