The inaugural “Byatikram Education Conclave” brought a wave of hope and unity to the Dhaka Club on June 10, 2024. Organized by Byatikram MASDO, a beloved socio-cultural organization from Assam, this heartwarming event was supported by the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Guwahati, JIS University, Friends of Bangladesh, SAARC Cultural Society, and North East Solutions.
For the first time, universities and educational institutions from Eastern India and Bangladesh came together, creating a bridge of knowledge and friendship. Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, President of Byatikram MASDO, passionately stated, “The more social, cultural, and economic exchanges between two countries, the stronger the economic and human relations.” Mr. Ruhul Amin, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Guwahati, praised the initiative, acknowledging Byatikram MASDO’s long-standing commitment to fostering cross-border unity.
The event began with a poignant tribute to esteemed writer and cultural activist Mou Roychowdhury, setting a tone of reverence and inspiration. Engaging panel discussions followed, addressing themes such as “Bridging the Gap: Collaboration Opportunities between Educational Institutions in India and Bangladesh” and “Challenges and Opportunities in Student Exchange Programs.”
Prominent voices like Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice-Chancellor of Mahapurush Srimanata Sankardeva Vishwavidyalaya, and Dr. Farhad Zahid Shaikh, Chief E-Governance of a2i, Govt. of Bangladesh, shared their wisdom and vision. With participation from prestigious institutions such as Royal Global University and Techno India University, the conclave marked a significant step in building educational and cultural bonds, promising a brighter, more connected future for both nations.
