On May 17, Byatikram Education Conclave 3.0 concluded successfully at Latika Cinema Hall, Dimapur, Nagaland. Organized by Byatikram Group a socio-cultural organization in Northeast India, aims to bridge gaps in education, healthcare, economy, society, and culture, while guiding students and the younger generation toward thoughtful and purposeful career choices.
The day-long conclave, held from 10 AM to 4 PM, brought together students, academicians, policymakers, and representatives from diverse communities across the region. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, His Excellency, Shri La Ganesan and commenced with the national anthem and ceremonial lamp lighting. It also featured a vibrant showcase of Nagaland’s rich folk culture, adding a unique charm to the event. While addressing the gathering, Governor Shri. La Ganesan expressed his pride in being part of Byatikram Education Conclave 3.0. He remarked, “I am honored to be part of this event that emphasizes the future of students, the importance of education, the preservation of mother tongues, and the responsibility of the youth. In this conclave in Dimapur, I believe it is crucial to promote learning in one’s mother tongue.” He further added that proficiency in one’s native language lays a foundation for learning other languages and enhances the overall educational journey. He also emphasized the role of teachers in successfully implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2023 and urged educational institutions to preserve and promote cultural heritage.
Today’s youth urgently need guidance, skills, and inspiration. Choosing the right career is not just about securing a job—it’s about building a meaningful life. This conclave serves as a catalyst for informed decision-making and aims to spark transformative change among young people.
Distinguished guests included Dr. M. Chuba Ao, National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Chairperson of MARCOFED; Manas Gogoi from The Times of India; Sunil Kumar from JIS’s Communication and Public Relations; Rashida Begum from NEPNI; Swami Chinmayanand Ji, the acting head of Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Nagaland; Amitabh Dutta from Only Chef; Prateek Dutta, administrator of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School; and entrepreneur Naresh Jain, Anand Aiyar and Dr. Saumen Bharatiya among others. Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, Patron in-chief of Byatikram, expressed his gratitude, stating, “The Byatikram Education Conclave is not just an event; it is a confluence where we come together from different states to spread the light of education and share experiences. Standing here in this city of Nagaland after coming from one end of Assam, we realize that education is not confined to textbooks. It is a continuous journey—from one state to another, from one culture to another. Our responsibility is to expand such inter-state exchanges. We want students to learn to dream beyond their own regions through this conclave and understand that education is not just about exam scores, but an essential part of personality development.” Dr. M. Chuba Ao praised Byatikram and said, “I am proud to see the rich culture of Nagaland being showcased. This conclave has given us a platform where educators and students from different states have come together under one roof to share their experiences, challenges, and perspectives. Let us resolve to nurture our students not only as skilled professionals but also as responsible and compassionate human beings.”
Swami Chinmayanand Ji added, “Along with education, spiritual development is also essential.”
The conclave hosted four major panel discussions. The first topic was Choosing the Right Career Path – featuring panelists Sunil Kumar, Sagar Saikia, Rashida Begum, Amitabh Dutta, Muazzam Hussain Barbhuiya, and C.P. Anto. The second topic was Placement Opportunities in East India and the Rest of the Country Post Higher Education – with panelists Rahul Bhattacharya, Nagen Rajak, Azizur Rahman, and Prateek Dutta. The third topic was Education for a Better Future – featuring Tamal Nath, Dr. Lily I. Teronpi, Dr. Anjan Bahera, and Amit Prabhan Barthakur.
In all three discussions, the presence of distinguished educational professionals and thought leaders added depth and diversity to the deliberations, inspiring students through varied perspectives. The presence of eminent personalities and academicians throughout the event enriched the panel discussions, which aimed to inspire students and guide them toward making informed academic and professional choices. Sunil Kumar stated, “The topics discussed today will play a pivotal role in helping many young minds make educational decisions. The insightful speeches by invited speakers added depth to the conclave. I believe these discussions will have a positive impact on education.” Prateek Dutta, Administrator of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, said, “I am delighted to be part of this conclave. When students study outside their home state, their knowledge base as well as their mental horizon expands. They learn new cultures and adapt to new ideologies. This exchange helps students find direction toward a better future.” Institutes such as JIS Group of Institutes, NERIM Group of Institutions, NEPNI School of Nursing, Only Chef, Aspiring Life & Scholars and various schools and colleges also participated in the event. The conclave concluded on a high note, reaffirming Byatikram’s commitment to fostering impactful regional platforms that promote meaningful discussion and progress in India’s educational ecosystem
