Bus collides with truck in Assam’s Dergaon killing 14 passengers

A bus collided with a truck in Dergaon, Assam which carried 45 passengers, the incident took place on 3 January early hours.

According to sources, amongst the 45 passengers, 14 people died and 27 others were injured. The incident took place on the way when the bus was heading towards Tilinga Mandir, Tinsukia where the truck came in contact with the bus.

Police reported that the bus passengers were on their way to picnic and were about to reach their destination, a coal-laden truck coming from Margherita collided with the bus.
