BSF’s Ravi Gandhi holds key border security talks with Tripura officials

Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (ADG) of Eastern Command, Border Security Force (BSF), held a high-level meeting with Tripura Police DGP Amitabh Ranjan and Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha on November 27 to address border security challenges and concerns related to developments in Bangladesh. During his three-day visit to Tripura, ADG Gandhi visited BSF Sector Headquarters in Gokulnagar, Kamlasagar (Sepahijala District), and Nischintpur (West District). He was accompanied by IG BSF Tripura Frontier Patel Piyush Purusottam Das and other senior officers.

ADG Gandhi was briefed by DIG V.K. Kasana at Gokulnagar about operational preparedness. Praising the efforts of BSF personnel in controlling trans-border crimes, he highlighted emerging threats to national security and encouraged the troops to maintain vigilance.

As part of his itinerary, the ADG also met with state officials to strengthen coordination between the BSF and Tripura administration. The discussions focused on cross-border issues, operational challenges, and measures to enhance security along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
