In response to Germany’s response to Rahul Gandhi’s expulsion from the Lok Sabha, the BJP on Thursday accused the opposition party of “inviting foreign powers for involvement into India’s domestic problems” and referred to Digvijay Singh and his party as “disgrace to nation.”
Prominent BJP figures, such as Union ministers Anurag Thakur and Kiren Rijiju, criticised the German response and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s India will not put up with any foreign meddling.
After thanking Richard Walker, Chief International Editor of Deutsche Welle, and the German foreign ministry for “taking note of how Democracy is being undermined in India through the persecution of Rahul Gandhi,” Congress leader Singh launched his attack.
