Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) rose 2.45% after the company reported a 3% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹504 crore. Besides, the board of directors also recommended a dividend of ₹0.50 per share.
The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter rose 8.8% year-on-year to ₹8,993 crore for Q4FY25 compared to ₹8,260 crore. The power segment, which accounts for nearly 80% of the revenue, witnessed steady growth. While the industry segment saw a 33% rise in revenue, supporting the overall growth.
On the operational front, earnings before interest, tax and depreciation grew 14.2% YoY to ₹831 crore compared to ₹727 crore for Q4FY25. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 9.24% as against 8.8% in the same quarter last year.
Finally, net profit for the quarter grew 3% YoY to ₹504 crore compared to ₹489 crore in the same quarter last year. Similarly, for FY25, net profit grew to ₹512 crore compared to ₹259 crore in FY24.
