West Bengal Senior State Ranking Badminton Tournament to be held at Raipur Club, Ramgarh, Garia from 3rd March to 6th March, 2020 and felicitation given to the Junior Players who have represented India in the recent past or excelled in National Level.
Apart from various dignitaries and Office Bearers of WBBA, Sri Binod Kumar, Secretary, Dept. of Youth Services & Sports, Govt. of West Bengal was also present during the Occasion and felicitated the following players.
1. ANKIT MONDAL — Represented “India” in Junior ABC held at Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia from 11th to 15th December, 2019. He has also been Runner-Up in Under-15 Singles Event in Sub – Jr. & Jr. National Badminton Championship held at Bhubaneswar from 17th to 22nd December, 2019;
2. ADITYA MONDAL & SAIKAT BANERJEE — Represented “India” in Junior ABC in Under 17 Boys Doubles Event held at Indonesia from 11th to 15th December, 2019;
3. UTHSAVA PALIT — Represented India in Junior ABC Championship held at Mayanmar from 3rd to 7th October, 2018 and at present representing “India” in Netherlands from 26th February to 1st March, 2020 and in Germany from 4th March to 8th March, 2020;
4. SOUMYADEEP CHARKABORTY — has become Champion in VII National Deaf Junior & Sub-Junior Sports Championship held at Kozhicode from 27th to 30th December, 2019 in Under-16 years Singles event and Runner Up in Doubles event in Under-16 Years Age Group.
