Bandhan Bank to collect revenue on e-GRAS

Bandhan Bank Signs MoU with Government of Assam to collect Tax/Non-Tax receipts for Assam Government. Bandhan Bank will collect revenue on the e-GRAS Portal from the Assam Government, enabling people to make tax and non-tax payments electronically. The bank will soon integrate with the government to operationalize the payment collection process.

Bandhan Bank is present in all 35 districts of Assam with nearly 500 banking outlets, and the portal allows citizens to pay for various services such as house tax, vehicle registration tax, local body tax, water bill, examination fees, and trade license renewal. The total collection through the Assam eGRAS portal for FY 2022-23 was nearly INR 16,000 Crore.

 Bandhan Bank’s Head of Government Business, DebrajSaha, said that securing a mandate by the Assam Government is a demonstration of the bank’s confidence and conviction in serving the people of Assam. The secure web application allows citizens and businesses to pay taxes and non-tax receipts electronically, generate e-challans for required services, and make online payments anytime from anywhere.
