Bandhan Bank signs MoU with Indian Air Force to offer Shaurya Salary Account

Bandhan Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Air Force (IAF) to introduce the Shaurya Salary Account, a specialized corporate salary account designed for defence personnel. The account offers a zero-balance feature, attractive interest rates, and exclusive benefits for IAF personnel and their families.

The MoU was signed by Air Vice Marshal Updesh Sharma VSM, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Accounts & Air Veterans), Ministry of Defence, and Debraj Saha, Head – Government Business Group, Bandhan Bank. The event was attended by senior officials, including Sujoy Roy, Head – Branch Banking, and Swati Dutt, Head – Central Government Business.

Bandhan Bank, which also serves as a SPARSH Service Centre for defence pensioners, is expanding its presence in cities like Agartala. The city, known for its strong defence community and growing financial sector, stands to benefit significantly from the initiative. With Bandhan Bank’s extensive branch network, IAF personnel in Agartala and across Tripura will gain improved access to seamless banking services. With over 6,300 banking outlets across 35 states and a deposit base of ₹1.41 lakh crore, Bandhan Bank continues to strengthen its role in financial inclusion while supporting key government institutions.
