Bandhan Bank grants Rs 4 cr CSR support to Ramakrishna Mission for Viveka Tirtha project

Bandhan Bank has extended a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution of ₹4 crore to the Ramakrishna Mission to aid in the construction of the Ramakrishna Mission Centre for Human Excellence and Social Sciences, also known as Viveka Tirtha. The centre, focused on skill development and value-based education, is poised to become a hub for personal and professional empowerment.

The cheque was handed over by Shri Partha Pratim Sengupta, MD & CEO of Bandhan Bank, to Swami Suvirananda, General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, at a ceremony held at Belur Math. “Education and skill development are key pillars of nation-building… We are honoured to support this noble initiative,” said Sengupta.

The initiative reflects Bandhan Bank’s broader commitment to social upliftment and its guiding principle of ‘Aapka Bhala, Sabki Bhalai’. With over 6,300 banking outlets across 35 states and union territories, the bank continues to serve semi-urban and rural India. In Agartala, where Bandhan Bank is steadily growing, this CSR initiative has been welcomed as a progressive step towards strengthening the region’s educational infrastructure. Stakeholders in the Agartala market anticipate long-term benefits, especially for youth-focused skill-building initiatives in Tripura.
