Bandhan Bank has launched a new facility for the online collection of direct taxes, available to both customers and non-customers across India. The service, integrated with the TIN 2.0 platform of Income Tax, marks a significant step in the bank’s digital expansion. As an RBI-appointed agency bank, Bandhan Bank also provides offline tax payment options through its 1,700+ branches nationwide.
Customers can now pay their direct taxes using Retail Internet Banking, Corporate Internet Banking, and a payment gateway that accepts debit cards, credit cards, and internet banking. Additionally, offline payments can be made at any branch using cash, cheques, or demand drafts. This service is designed to facilitate hassle-free tax payments for users across the country. Debraj Saha, Head of the Government Business Group at Bandhan Bank, commented, “We take immense pride in commencing operations as an Agency Bank for the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
