The world’s most valuable two-wheeler company Bajaj Auto has opened bookings for the Chetak Electric scooter in Kolkata. The company has facilitated exclusive online booking on payment of only Rs. 2000.
Bajaj Auto had previously opened booking slots for its electric scooter in multiple cities; more than 12000 scooters are on Indian roads.
The Chetak is now available in more than 25 cities around India. It has exciting features such as fully chargeable in 5 hours and has a quick charge of 25% in 60 mins. After fully charged, it runs for 90 kms in Eco Mode. It comes with LED headlamps with integrated horseshoe-shaped DRLs and sequential LED blinkers, a Classic design, IP67 rated high-tech Lithium-Ion battery, a unique single-sided cast aluminum swing arm, IP67 water-resistance rating and a beltless solid gear drive, three riding modes. The scooter needs minimal maintenance with a service interval of 12,000 kms or one year (whichever earlier) and a battery warranty of 3 years or 50,000 kms (whichever earlier).
It is available in four colours – Indigo Metallic, Velutto Rosso, Brooklyn Black and Hazelnut. It is available for test rides at the Chetak zone in KTM Kolkata. It has been introduced at an ex-showroom price starting at Rs.1,53,298. The myChetak App, if enabled with data, allows owners to receive notifications in case of unauthorized access or an accident.
