Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and ICICI Lombard General Insurance are driving financial inclusion in Tripura through targeted insurance awareness initiatives under the State Insurance Plan. The recently concluded fourth State Level Insurance Committee (SLIC) meeting highlighted their efforts in bridging the insurance gap and expanding coverage across the state. SLIC, established to oversee insurance-related activities, is actively implementing IRDAI’s ‘Insurance for All by 2047’ vision. The meeting, attended by Tripura Finance Secretary Apurva Roy, Director (Institutional Finance) Rakhi Biswas, TRLM CEO Ajit Sukla Das, and IRDAI GM A.V. Rao, reaffirmed the insurers’ commitment to financial literacy and insurance accessibility.

AnandSinghi, Chief of Retail & Government Business at ICICI Lombard, highlighted their engagement with local communities, CSR initiatives in road safety, health, and education, and efforts to strengthen insurance penetration.
In Agartala, increased insurance awareness is expected to enhance financial security for traders and small businesses, encouraging wider adoption of insurance products to mitigate risks and ensure business stability. Both insurers will continue expanding awareness programs and participating in District Level Insurance Committee (DLIC) meetings to strengthen their outreach across Tripura.
