In a growing fashion of states keeping off Centrally organised events, Jharkhand and Bihar have decided to pass by the Centre-State Science Conclave that used to be inaugurated on Saturday by means of Prime Minister Modi. The event is being attended by way of all other country governments and an reputable purpose for their absence is awaited.
The conclave, which is the first of its kind, is to be a two-day match aimed at strengthening Centre-State coordination and collaboration mechanisms to “build a robust science, technology and innovation (STI) ecosystem throughout the country”.
Apart from the central and state governments, the conclave will be attended through top industrialists, younger scientists and innovators.
Organised at Science City, Ahmedabad, the conclave will include classes on a range of themes inclusive of digital health care, technological interventions for improving farmers’ income, clean energy, and innovation for producing potable drinking water to identify a few.
This selection by using the two states comes amid political unrest in both.
