At Jhongatser Lake, the Tawang administration organizes a cleanliness campaign

Under the direction of deputy commissioner Kanki Darang, the Tawang district administration in Arunachal Pradesh led a mass cleanliness drive at the charming Jhongatser Lake, one of the district’s most beloved tourist destinations, on Friday in a potent demonstration of environmental dedication and community spirit. Officers and employees from a variety of departments, including PWD, urban development, tourism, and PHED, enthusiastically participated in the effort. Later in the day, Indian Army personnel joined forces, further accelerating the collaborative effort in spite of the continuous rain.

The united team’s successful removal of two truckloads of rubbish, despite the weather, demonstrated the administration’s ongoing commitment to protecting the area’s natural beauty. Speaking during the ceremony, DC Darang emphasized the significance of keeping locations clean, especially those that are visited by tourists and are environmentally sensitive. He instructed security staff to enforce stringent garbage segregation and appropriate disposal procedures, and he urged both residents and visitors to embrace cleanliness as a shared responsibility.
