Assam, electricity tariff has increased and people are unhappy with government due to the increase. Also there lots of chaos in state due to frequently increasing electricity tariff.
Opposition parties have also criticized the BJP government due to the increase in electricity tariff. Assam Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary has adviced people for those who cannot afford electricity.
Daimary said, “The electricity tariff has increased. Don’t switch on the fans if you cannot afford it. Sit under a tree.”
BJP government has also reacted regarding the electricity tariff. “The government buys electricity from companies and if they inflate the price, what can it do? It will have to make do by increasing tariff,” BJP leader said.
