In a move to fostering diversity within the education sector, the Assam Government has decided to reserve three percent of seats for the Tea tribe and Adivasi communities.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu via X announced the initiative to reserve seats in the current teachers recruitment which is going to be held soon.
According to the sources, there will be a three percent reservation for the communities within the existing 27 percent quote under OBC/MOBC under the Department of School Education, Assam.
