Assam students who appeared for Higher Secondary Examination, 2023 and scored above 60% and 75% respectively have been rewarded scooters by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Veterinary College field in Khanapara, Guwahati on Thursday.
According to the sources, the initiative took place under Pragyan Bharati Scheme, with 35,770 students being recipients of scooters under the scheme in 2023. The initiative is taken to empower youths through education.
Assam CM said, “I sincerely hope the scooty presented in recognition of the good academic performance of the students will motivate them to do better in the future as well.”
