Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday urged people to avoid going to river banks as the Yamuna water stage has elevated in the national capital. Appealing to people to cooperate with the government and administration, Kejriwal stated all ample preparations have been made for people residing close to the Yamuna.
Kejriwal tweeted “The water stage of Yamuna has accelerated in Delhi, my enchantment to all is to keep away from going towards the banks of the river. We have made adequate arrangements for the human beings residing near the Yamuna. Cooperate with the authorities and administration. We are monitoring the state of affairs and are ready to deal with any situation,”.
According to the flood control room, the water stage dipped from 205.88 metres at 8 pm on Saturday to 204.83 metres at eight am on Sunday, pronounced news organisation PTI. The water stage in the Yamuna had breached the hazard mark of 205.33 metres on Friday. A water stage of 204.5 metres is stated to be at the “warning level” whilst the “danger level” prompts evacuation efforts of people residing along the banks of the Yamuna.
