Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed pride in the achievement of young Arunachali actor Riyan Mipi, who stars in The Family Man Season 3 as Bobby. He emphasized the significance of Riyan’s national exposure, noting his background from the remote Dibang Valley and acknowledging that Riyan is the first child actor from the Mishmi community to gain such visibility. At just nine years old, Riyan has no formal acting training but attended a 15-day workshop to prepare for his role. His artistic journey began in dance, which he pursued from the age of six, supported by his family.
Riyan has gained popularity through national reality shows, notably reaching the TV round of India’s Got Talent 2023 and ranking among the top 15 on Dance Deewane Season 4. To support Riyan’s aspirations, his mother moved to Mumbai, while his younger brother stayed in Arunachal Pradesh with their father, balancing family sacrifices for Riyan’s career.
Following his debut in The Family Man, Riyan is set to appear in Yash Raj Films’ Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan, and he will lead in the film Rotten Apple, directed by Shakti Sagar Chopra. Despite his rising fame, Riyan maintains his humility and has expressed a desire to establish a dance academy in the future.
