Itanagar, July 25, 2024: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu addressed the media at the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly today, highlighting the stringent penalty clauses in the newly enacted law aimed at curbing paper leaks in public examinations.
“According to me, this Act imposes stringent punishments, including a fine of up to ₹1 crore, imprisonment of up to 10 years, and penalties for examinees involved in malpractices. This Act will be instrumental in preventing such malpractices in the future. Further recommendations will be considered to strengthen it, based on the views of the Advocate General,” stated CM Khandu.
He said that budget allocations for education, health, and sports yield results over time, reflecting on the ground after proper implementation. “With the focus on education, Arunachal Pradesh is witnessing significant reforms, sanctioning of new posts, and the development of vibrant infrastructure. Similarly, in health, we are seeing the induction of new equipment, hospitals, and medical staff,” Khandu added.
Reflecting on his eight-year tenure, CM Khandu praised the tremendous potential of Arunachal Pradesh athletes, who have excelled in national and international events, bringing medals and honors to the state.
