Arunachal’s Dirang forest fire has been extinguished with no casualties

A massive forest fire that had spread over several acres in the Nadipar forest near Dirang town, which is situated in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, was contained. No property damage or human casualties were reported, according to authorities. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), local police, fire services, administrative teams, and local citizens worked together to suppress the fire, which posed a serious threat because it was close to inhabited areas, according to Dirang MLA Phurpa Tsering.

The event comes after a similar issue in February, when a fire started in the same district’s Tenga market area. Gajraj Corps members of the Indian Army reacted quickly, sending out fire engines and other vital assistance. In addition to containing the fire, their prompt response protected residents and stopped additional harm. Both incidences have been cited by officials as instances of successful cooperation between Arunachal Pradesh’s military and civil authorities.
