Arunachal Rang Mahotsav 2024 highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s rich and varied cultural legacy

The Arunachal Rang Mahotsav, the largest theatrical festival in Northeast India, is scheduled to take place in Arunachal Pradesh and is expected to be a significant occasion on the state’s cultural calendar. On November 20, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that the festival would formally begin on November 22 at the DK Convention Centre in Itanagar with a stunning theatrical production of Gyepo Kalawangpho. The first-ever vibrant event to highlight Arunachal Pradesh’s rich and varied cultural legacy will be the Arunachal Rang Mahotsav 2024.

A lively blend of traditional and modern performances will be shown, which will take place over fifteen days. This significant occasion will showcase the state’s oral traditions, regional performing arts, dancing styles, and martial arts, all of which embody Arunachal Pradesh’s rich artistic heritage. To raise the festival to worldwide standards, feature national and international performances in addition to celebrating indigenous artistry from Kalaripayattu and Gotipua to Thang Ta, Chhau, and Theyyam.
