Arunachal Pradesh launches its first Full Depth Reclamation road project at Liago Village

At Liago Village, Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh began its first Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) road construction project, marking an important turning point in the state’s rural infrastructure development. Minister of Rural Works Department, Education & Tourism, Pasang Dorjee Sona, launched the initiative. The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) project demonstrates the state’s dedication to constructing roads in rural areas that are sustainable, inclusive, and resilient. Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Tezu-Sunpura MLA Dr. Mohesh Chai, who serves as advisor to health and family welfare, joined Minister Sona.

He emphasized how crucial it is to work together to make sure that no town or community is left behind in the state’s progress. Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a cutting-edge method for restoring deteriorated roads by recycling existing pavement material on-site to produce a solid and long-lasting base layer. It reduces building waste and the demand for fresh materials, making it both economical and environmentally beneficial. It is anticipated that the project will improve road connection and the standard of living for those living in Arunachal Pradesh’s more isolated and underdeveloped areas.
