Arunachal Pradesh has seen a 0.99 percent rise in its voter count compared to the previous year’s final electoral rolls, officials announced on Monday. The state now has a total of 8,91,518 electors, comprising 4,37,609 men, 4,53,905 women, and four third-gender individuals, he noted. “There are currently 8,91,518 electors in the state, including 4,37,609 men, 4,53,905 women, and four third-gender people,” he said. “All political parties in the state have also been given access to the recently released electoral rolls,” Koyu continued.

He stressed that the revision’s main objectives were to remove duplicate entries in accordance with Election Commission norms and to incorporate young voters who turned 18 by January 1, 2025. In the meantime, the Election Department in Assam released the final picture electoral roll 2025 on Monday, with the qualifying date being January 1, 2025, in accordance with instructions from the Election Commission of India. According to the final electoral roll of 2025, there are 2,48,61,979 electors in Assam.

On October 29, 2024, the Assamese Election Department released the draft electoral roll 2025, which included 2,46,28,673 voters. There are 2,33,306 more voters on the final electoral roll than there were on the draft roll, a roughly 1% increase. Of the 2,48,61,979 voters, 1,24,17,622 are men, 1,24,43,967 are women, and 390 are of the third gender, according to sources from the Assam Election Department. The fact that there are more female voters than male voters is noteworthy.
