Arunachal holds a collaborative kidney transplant workshop between the UK and India

TRIHMS, Naharlagun hosted the Arunachal-United Kingdom Joint Workshop on Renal Transplantation, a collaborative workshop on the subject. Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kapur from ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi, and Dr. Atul Bagul from UHL NHS, United Kingdom, shared their knowledge with the state’s medical team during the occasion. Given that Arunachal Pradesh is only beginning its organ transplantation journey, this session is essential. The two well-known experts’ views have given local physicians the information and abilities they need to manage such difficult medical procedures in the future.

The agreement, which includes a doctor exchange training program in the UK, would open the door for the establishment of cutting-edge medical facilities in the state, including organ transplantation services, said Health Minister Biyuram Wahge, who expressed confidence about the alliance. Minister Wahge emphasized the significance of such projects in augmenting the state’s healthcare capacities and conveyed his gratitude to Drs. Bagul and Kapur for their essential services.
