Arunachal Fashion Week to Highlight 5-Year Journey of Artisans’ Movement

The Arunachal Pradesh textiles and handicrafts department is set to host the Arunachal Fashion Week 2026 – The Artisans’ Movement from March 14 to 21 in Naharlagun. Chief Minister Pema Khandu will inaugurate the event, which celebrates five years of the Artisans’ Movement and 11 years of the Northeast India Fashion Week. The opening evening features “Night of Opulence,” showcasing indigenous weaves and contemporary fashion. March 15 will be Cultural Heritage Day, emphasizing collaborations between designers and artisans. From March 16 to 20, the venue will serve as an exhibition hub with runway shows and sales. The event culminates on March 21 with the Arunachal Fashion Week Awards Night, honoring excellence in various categories. Minister Nyato Dukam highlighted the rich textile heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and the department’s commitment to modernizing and promoting this sector.
