The newly built school auditorium and football stadium at Independent Golden Jubilee Govt Higher Secondary School (IGJGHS), Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, was officially opened by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein. These cutting-edge facilities, which were created as part of the Pasighat Smart City Development Corporation Ltd.’s IGJGHS School Heritage Redevelopment initiative, further demonstrate the government’s dedication to the comprehensive development of students. While the Football Stadium seeks to give students better sports training and leisure options, the School Auditorium is expected to develop into a center for cultural events, scholarly debates, and community gatherings.

DCM Mein was the Chief Guest at the Unying A:ran Spring Carnival at the Gi:di Notko Festival Ground after the inauguration. With notable highlights like the unveiling of the Na:nyi Me:té Portrait & Ritual Taku-Tabat and the captivating Mega Yakjong and Tapu dances, which represent solidarity and pride, the lively event highlighted Arunachal Pradesh’s rich cultural legacy.
The Adi community’s ‘No Hunting’ festival, promoting wildlife conservation, was praised by Prime Minister Mein. He urged society to take collective responsibility for preserving the environment and restoring Arunachal’s rich fauna to attract tourism and rejuvenate forest ecosystems. Education Minister P.D. Sona commended the Celebration Committee for promoting wildlife protection. The festival was attended by dignitaries and a special drama.
