Speaker Tesam Pongte will lead a delegation from Arunachal Pradesh to the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference in Sydney. With the subject “Engage, Empower, Sustain: Charting the Course for Resilient Democracy,” the gathering, which will bring together more than 700 lawmakers from throughout the Commonwealth, will take place from November 3 to November 8, 2024.
The Arunachal delegation is composed of Chau Zingnu Namchoom, HMLA, Kardo Nyigyor, Deputy Speaker, and Minister Dasanglu Pul, who is a female delegate. Tadar Meena, the secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, is assisting and directing them. Margaret Beazley AC KC, the governor of New South Wales and the vice-patron of the CPA, presided over the conference’s opening ceremony. Stephen Twigg, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, also spoke to the audience.
