State’s tourism sector was approved by Assam Government to give industrial status to make it appealing to global travelers.
With the grant of industrial sector now restaurants, cafeterias, health clubs, Spas, wellness centers will be eligible under the industrial policy.
Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah said, fresh investment in tourism sector will help in improving employment generation, private-public partnership and along with it infrastructure development.
The newly implement policy aims at environmental friendly investment in the sectors beside capital formation and the creation of gainful employment.
