Son of former defence minister A K Antony, Anil Antony, joined the BJP on Thursday and criticised a portion of the Congress leadership for “serving the interests of a single family” rather than the nation. As the ruling party looks to strengthen its position in the southern state, Piyush Goyal and V Muraleedharan welcomed Anil Antony, who oversaw the Kerala Congress’ digital media unit before leaving the organisation earlier this year.
