Anand Mishra clears procedure towards his resignation

Superintendent of Police in Assam’s Lakhimpur district, Anand Mishra, who has resigned from the post few days back. There has been rumours about not accepting his resignation letter by the government.

Mishra has clarified about the same that there is no such thing, their is a procedure of functioning the process. SP Mishra said, “When it is rejected, it means that it has not been accepted. Pending is not equal to rejection. There is a problem with a few sections of people being short-sighted. They do not understand that there is a procedure for the functioning of the government.”

He also added, from January 17 he will hand over his duties to someone other officer as he is handling a case due to which he is not willing to leave with immediate effect.
