Bihar was hit by an earthquake on Wednesday morning, April 12. The earthquake hit the state at around 5:35 PM on Wednesday, April 12, the epic center of the earthquake was about 320 km east of the capital Patna and over 1300 km east of Delhi. The focus (hypocenter) was at a shallow depth of 10 km and was marked 4.3 on the Richter scale. The National Centre for Seismology informed this in a tweet.
The tremors of the Bihar earthquake were also felt in neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh today. People also took to social media and said that they felt tremors in the morning.
Earlier on 9th April an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred in Nicobar Island at a depth of 10 km, on Sunday around 4:01 pm, according to the NCS.
