Actress Antara Srivastav, daughter of late comedian Raju Srivastav, has appreciated several celebrities who had stood by her family after her father suffered a heart attack. In a interview with times of India, Antara expressed her gratitude to PM Modi who she told ‘remained in connection till the last day’. Antara also told that veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan enquired about Raju’s health ‘every single day when he was admitted in hospital’.
Raju died of heart attack in 2022 in the month of September 2022. He began his career in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. He was seen in many Hindi movies such as Maine Pyaar Kiya and Baazigar. He became popular after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He was last seen on screen was in the comedy series Hostel Daze season 3, which was released after his death.
