Assam Congress President Bhupen Kumar Borah had recently made controversial comment against Assamese tradition and Lord Krishna and Assam Chief Minister took strict action towards the President.
According to the sources, Bhupen Kumar Borah has been facing multiple FIRS since the alleged comments towards Assamese tradition.
Amidst the issue, Bhupen Borah claimed that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who was a Congress leader will return to party Congress if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is voted out of power.
“When he (the former Congress MLA) was leaving the Congress, he told me that he doesn’t have a problem with the party and neither does the chief minister. He said to me that the chief minister in fact promised him that when the Congress will come to power both of us will rejoin the Congress,” Bhupen Borah said.
