Air India releases a new inflight safety video, ‘Safety Mudras’

Air India has unveiled a new inflight safety video, ‘Safety Mudras’, which celebrates India’s vibrant culture and traditional dance forms. The video, set against a backdrop of lush green riverbanks, features Bihu dancers illustrating safety jacket instructions with spirited movements reminiscent of Assam’s vibrant culture.

The video has been created by industry stalwarts Prasoon Joshi, Shankar Mahadevan, and Bharatbala, as well as local talents like Imon Phukon, Pallavi Dutta, Pooja Devi Seal, Kankana Goswami, and Evamoni.

The video also integrates safety instructions and seven other dance forms from around the country, each providing specific safety instructions in an engaging and culturally immersive manner. The video, composed by Grammy Award-winning music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan, captures India’s essence in mesmerizing locations shot over six months. Air India CEO and MD, Campbell Wilson, expressed delight in presenting a work of art that delivers essential safety instructions while showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity to travelers worldwide.
