AI making education more accessible, says Tripura CM at MBB convocation

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionising education by making it more effective and accessible. He was speaking at the first convocation ceremony of Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) University held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan.

Dr. Saha, who also holds the Education portfolio, said the state government is working with a long-term plan to develop MBB University into an advanced educational institution.

A total of 9,642 students received degrees and diplomas during the event. Among them, 135 meritorious students were awarded gold medals. Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu was also present.

Dr. Saha emphasised that the new National Education Policy (NEP) is being implemented in Tripura and courses like the Indian Knowledge System have been introduced at MBB University. Plans are in place to start BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA, B.Sc., and M.Sc. courses in Biotechnology.

The Chief Minister highlighted various initiatives, including free scooties for eligible students, the Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana, and the Mukhyamantri Yuva Samachar Yojana. He urged graduates to face future challenges with skill, confidence, and humility.
