In a major boost to Agartala’s sports infrastructure, the city has inaugurated its first FIH-certified hockey field. Developed under the Khelo India Scheme by the Agartala Sports Department in partnership with Gallant Sports, this cutting-edge facility is designed to meet international hockey standards.
The project, which began in December 2023, faced significant challenges, including an uneven ground level. Gallant Sports meticulously addressed these issues to deliver a top-tier facility. Nasir Ali, CEO of Gallant Sports, highlighted the project’s importance, stating, “This ground will not only serve as a training hub for future hockey stars but also inspire a new generation of athletes.”
The introduction of this world-class facility is poised to invigorate Agartala’s sports scene, attracting local clubs, schools, and enthusiasts.
